Rangapravesham of Anaga Prasad

Anaga Prasad daughter of Sowmya and Kowdle Prasad, started her dance training from Arathi School of India Dances in Phoenix, USA under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Asha Gopal at the tender age of five. After returning to India, Anaga continued her training through Guru Sri. Sathyanarayana Raju and Guru Smt. Padmini Ravi. Anaga has participated in several productions of the Arathi School of India Dances in the USA and has taken part in the Fiesta Bowl Parade in Phoenix. As a part of her high school music curriculum Anaga participated in the symphonic and concert bands. Anaga loves being involved in dance and art and enjoys playing the Clarinet in her spare time.

Anaga was an honors student and a member of the freshman tennis team at Mountain Pointe High School in Phoenix. She was an active member of the environmental club which was involved in helping promote a clean environment in Arizona. During her freshman year at Mountain Pointe High School, Anaga won first place after entering a science fiction essay competition held by the society of women engineers in Tempe, Arizona. This achievement rewarded her with an opportunity to participate in a four week summer program that was held at Arizona State University. Anaga is also certified in CPR and First Aid administration by American Red Cross association.

Anaga has gone through a number of changes this past year having moved to India after staying in the USA for 14 years. Throughout these changes dance has been a constant source of support for her.
